Northern Automotive Alliance (NAA)

NAA-Logo-Nov15-Secondary-CMYKThe NAA is an independent, not-for-profit company, which provides a membership service, combined with a project management delivery function to the automotive community, from micro-companies through to global vehicle manufacturers. The NAA offers a diverse service using established networks. Services include training, events, funding applications and strategic, business and technical advice.

The NAA is the lead partner in STRIVE with responsibility for contract management, dissemination and the skills element.

 

Bentley Motors Ltd

Bentley employs around 3,700 people at its headquarters in Crewe, which is home to all of its operations including design, R&D, engineering and production. The combination of fine craftsmanship, using skills that have been handed down through generations, alongside engineering expertise and cutting-edge technology is unique to UK luxury car brands such as Bentley.

Bentley is providing the test bed for STRIVE, allowing the project to take its emerging technology and integrate it a real solution for business.

 

Virtual Engineering Centre (University of Liverpool)

Strive Partner - Virtual Engineering CentreThe Virtual Engineering Centre (VEC) supports the advanced manufacturing sector and wider industry by providing a focused centre of research, expertise and science infrastructure for leading and emergent virtual engineering technologies. The VEC provides a unique capability in the UK, harnessing the latest virtual engineering technologies and workflows enabling industry to explore novel technologies and evaluate innovations to accelerate product development, drive product quality and safety, reducing costs and time to market across automotive, aerospace, energy and technology sectors.

The VEC is the technical lead in STRIVE with responsibility for the technical project management and integration.

 

Optis SAS

Its solutions allow designers, ergonomists and engineers to simulate and optimize lighting performance, product appearance as well as the visibility and legibility of information on Human Machine Interfaces, in a fully-immersive environment.

With the recent development of its Virtual Manufacturing toolset, Optis is providing the key software and development platform to allow the build teams at Bentley to investigate and validate virtual assembly.

Optis is a key partner in STRIVE, offering physics-based simulation of products and their environments.
